Aims

• We aim to optimise pelvic floor and endometriosis care through innovation, implementation, and prevention

  We will continue to lead multicentre trials, refine surgical pathways, and embed implementation science to ensure that effective treatments reach patients. We aim to reduce unwarranted variation in care, strengthen personalised treatment strategies, and integrate PROMs and shared decision‑making tools. Prevention, linking congenital anomalies to later endometriosis and pelvic floor disorders, will become a defining theme.

• We aim to advance lifelong, integrated care for congenital anomalies

  We will strengthen transitional care from adolescence to adulthood, improve long‑term outcome evidence, and co‑create care pathways with patients. We aim to expand national training in paediatric gynaecology, ensuring that expertise remains available across the Netherlands. Our long‑term goal is to further integrate and educate in clinical, psychological, ethical, and surgical expertise.

• We aim to embed sustainability as a scientific driver in women’s health

  We will expand our sustainability research to full clinical pathways, develop validated methods for environmental impact assessment, and integrate sustainability into guideline development. Our ambition is to position Radboudumc as the international frontrunner in sustainable urogynaecology and to influence European policy on sustainable surgical care.

  We will increase our presence in international societies, lead European consortia, and contribute to global research agendas on pelvic floor disorders, endometriosis, male infertility, congenital anomalies, and sustainability. With our academic position we enable broader strategic influence.

• We aim to build a coherent, recognisable research identity and team structure

  We articulate a clear mission, vision, and strategy for the group, define roles and responsibilities, and ensure long‑term viability through talent development and succession planning. The team development will support a strong, visible, and cohesive research group.
