Goals

  • To take a multidimensional approach to realize a meaningful personalized health care diagnosis and intervention.
  • To explore the underlying mechanisms driving the complexity of vulnerability.
  • To optimize preclinical perioperative and postoperative care, identifying and mitigating risk factors before, during and after surgery to improve outcomes and reduce complications.
  • To improve the identification, prevention and treatment of multidimensional symptoms in advanced disease stages and palliative care.
  • To explore in depth the ethical and existential dilemmas of health care problems of vulnerable patients, to identify personalized patients’ wishes, values and needs.
  • To explore and research educational programs for Health Care improvement strategies for vulnerable patients focused on evidence-based medicine and innovative prospective trials methodologies.
  • To develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based educational programs for health care professionals and patients, focusing on vulnerable patients including skills and living lab situations.
  • To develop a clinical living lab real world organization to integrate interdisciplinary care programs, bringing together various research programs and clinical pathways.
