

Our mission
We aim to perform high quality research in all aspects of supportive cancer care, incluiding symptom management, optimizing physical, emotional, role, social and cognitive functioning health-related quality of life of patients with cancer and to help maintain patients’ autonomy during all phases of their cancer journey.
Goals
- To unravel which supportive care interventions are most effective for which outcome, for whom, when and how.
- To identify high-risk population subgroups.
- To identify the best supportive cancer care strategies.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of supportive cancer care.
- To understand mechanisms of action underlying effects of supportive cancer care.
- To improve implementation by understanding barriers and facilitators, process measures and shared decision-making models.
- To improve education for patients, professionals and students.
