Hans Von den Hoff from the Dept. of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Biology has obtained an Advanced Researcher Grant from the Suisse Osteology Foundation (80.000 CHF).

The grant is intended to study muscle function in the soft palate using electromyography in a rat model for surgical injury of the soft palate. Muscle function will be monitored with telemetric devices implanted in the rats in collaboration with the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour. This study belongs to his research on cleft palate repair. The study will be carried out by a new PhD candidate from Colombia, Doris Haydee Rosero Salazar.
