JCI Theme week Scientific research involving human subjects
From 6 to 10 March, the JCI Theme week Scientific Research involving Human Subjects will take place. The goal of this week is to familiarize all researchers with the new Integral Quality System Scientific Research with Human Subjects.

This system learns you how to register your studies in PaNaMa, the project management system. What the Radboudumc research code is about and where to find it. What the standard operating procedures are for informed consent, for reporting side effects, for data management and much more.

Who: research coordinators, research nurses, and interested researchers

‘Guide to the Integral Quality System scientific research with human subjects IKS'
Venue: entrance of the A building restaurant (route 607)
Who: everyone involved in human research
Every day between 12:00 and 14:00 there will be a IKS booth at the entrance of the restaurant in the A-building. In an interactive manner we will make you acquainted with the possibilities of the IKS and how it can benefit you as a researcher.

Who: everyone involved in human research
On this intranet page you can participate in the IKS Quiz (in Dutch because the IKS is in Dutch, sorry. It will be translated in English in a later phase). The quiz will lead you through the IKS as you are trying to find all the answers. After the quiz, you know your way around in the IKS and your life as a researcher will be easier. So, there are no losers. But three of you will be even more lucky and win a sensational prize: a €1000 travel grant to a conference of your choice.

Assess the quality of your research procedures: Tracers
Venue: your department
Who: those who had a training in performing tracers
By performing a tracer together with a colleague, you will gain knowledge on the Radboudumc standard operating procedures and learn from one another. Researchers / research staff from each department will be contacted to execute a tracer. You can also register yourself through this link. On Monday morning (9-9:30), March 6, the kick-off for the tracers will take place (Venue: Kasteel Heijendael, Marijnenkamer).

Tracer feedback and announcement of the travel grant winners
Venue: Tuinzaal (route 706)
Who: the tracers and the quizzers and the interested others
In this relaxed event, the tracers will share their experiences in an informal way, while the quizzers can’t wait for the big moment. Our dean, prof. Paul Smits, will announce the winners. By the way, did you know that there is a congress on personalized medicine in Boston in November and that a ticket costs only €532....
