29 November 2018

On 22 and 23 November, RIHS PhD candidates gathered in Den Bosch for the annual RIHS PhD retreat. This year over 100 PhD candidates attended, which was the biggest group till now.

The program highlights were the workshops about career future, design thinking, mindfulness, and rebuttal writing, which were very interesting and useful for the present and future plans of PhDs. At the evening of the first conference day, there was also time to relax and meet participants during the dinner. During the following pub-quiz and an even later night out in the city centre of Den Bosch there were lively chatter and laughter.
There was an opportunity to share each other’s research by giving an oral presentation or 4-slide short talk.

Awards

The award for best oral presentation was split due to exact same number of points given to Diede Loopik from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Frédérique Bouwman from Radiology & Nuclear Medicine.

The best 4-slide short talk awards went to Dagmar Grob from Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, and Daisy Ermers from Healthcare Improvement Science.

We congratulate all the winners, and hope to see so many people again during next year’s RIHS PhD Retreat!
