Robert Sauerwein was appointed by His Majesty as Knight in the Order of the Dutch Lion, a highly prestigious decoration.



Robert Sauerwein has been researching malaria for thirty years. His research is focused on the development of a vaccine against malaria and thanks to his dedication, such a vaccine is now closer than ever. Robert Sauerwein is an internationally recognized malaria expert and is regularly consulted by international organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
