About Jeroen Janssen

Jeroen works as a PhD candidate at the department of Geriatrics of the Radboud university medical center. He received his Master's degree in Methodology and Statistics in Psychology from Leiden University in 2017 (cum laude). As a PhD candidate, he is currently working on the Social Health Games project, supervised by Prof. Marcel Olde Rikkert, Dr. Geeske Peeters, and Dr. Rense Corten. In this project, he investigates the design and effectiveness of social games to foster the social connections of older adults, both within and outside their generation, with a decrease of perceived loneliness as ultimate goal. He plans to defend his thesis in 2024.
