Marijn de Bruin full professor

Marijn de Bruin is a behavioural scientist with expertise in the development, evaluation, synthesis, and implementation of health behaviour interventions in the healthcare context. Much of his research is focused on supporting self-management a healthy lifestyle among patients with long-term illnesses, such as asthma, HIV, cancer, and heart failure.Marijn also has a strong methodological interest in designing and reporting of behavioural trials, and novel approaches to meta-analysis of behavioural interventions to maximize our use of available evidence. In that context he has extensive experience with synthesising trials of health and healthcare professional behaviours, such as hand hygiene, medication adherence, smoking cessation, and weight management programmes.
