About Patrick Jeurissen

Patrick PT Jeurissen, Ph.D., is full professor in health care systems and finance (betaalbaarheid en toegankelijkheid van zorg) at Radboud University Medical School (0,8 fte) and affiliated to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports in the Netherlands (0,2 fte). His focus is on health policy and strategy, health care finance and cost-containment policies, administrative burden, tertiary care, multimorbidity, for-profit providers and payers, mental healthcare, hospitals, healthcare reimbursement, solidarity in health care systems, and comparative health care system research.

He has (co)-authored some 100 peer-reviewed publications and is a sought for speaker on (inter)national forums. He holds a Ph.D. in health economics and policy, his dissertation covers for-profit hospital ownership in the US, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, and has a M.P.A., both from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
