Appropriate Intensive Care

Marieke Zegers's research group improves intensive care by assessing its cost-effectiveness, developing prediction models for treatment decisions, addressing ethical issues in using (macroeconomic) data in clinical practice, and promoting personalized, patient-centered care.

Nursing science acute and intensive care

Mark van den Boogaard's research group conducts a large multicenter prospective cohort study collecting a.o. patients reported outcomes of ICU-survivors regarding physical, mental and cognitive functioning/problems and quality of life. This is worldwide the largest long-term follow-up study.
