Ambition and impact

We focus on bone, cartilage and meniscus tissue and on pre-clinical testing of implants.

We are specialized in mechanical testing, computational analyses, histological analyses and animal testing. Our strength lies in combining these techniques.

Areas of research include:

  • recovery of bone defects in revision surgery
  • design and preclinical testing of artificial joints
  • biomaterial research and tissue engineering
  • fracture prediction
  • mechanobiology
  • orthopedic traumatology
  • traumatic spinal cord injury
  • clinical examination of hip replacement surgery
