Once every two years, the Myrra Vernooij-Dassen prize is awarded to the best publication of the past two years by the Radboud Alzheimer Center. The COSMIC publication in Sports Medicine won this time. Carlijn Maasakkers, supervised by Dick Thijssen and René Melis, received this prize. The prize is a very nice appreciation for the collaborative work that has been done between the Departments of Physiology and Geriatrics.
The COSMIC publication is called ‘The Association of Sedentary Behaviour and Cognitive Function in People Without Dementia: A Coordinated Analysis Across Five Cohort Studies from COSMIC’.
