The Department of Pharmacy focuses on the following research areas: pharmacology of antimicrobial agents (antiretrovirals, antifungals, antibiotics and tuberculosis drugs) and oncology drugs. Furthermore, the department houses a state-of-the-art bioanalytical laboratory and the Radboud Applied Pharmacometrics group for research support. We have strong national and international collaborations to unravel translational pharmacological research questions.The Department of Pharmacy is dedicated to
- Servicing the needs of patients and staff by providing drug information for both patients and medical professionals and promoting safe and cost effective drug therapy.
- Education and training of pharmacists and pharmacologists by promoting teaching internships and residency programs.
- Better understanding how the human body reacts to pharmaceuticals and to provide the necessary evidence to improve clinical practice.
