Aims

  • We aim to study drug behavior with the goal to improve the treatment of bacterial infections
  • We aim to explore the contribution of renal function on the exposure of antimicrobial agents
  • We aim to investigate drug-drug interactions of antimicrobial agents
  • We aim to quantify the relation between drug exposure and emergence of resistance
  • We aim to prevent further emergence of resistance of bacterial pathogens to antimicrobial agents
  • We aim to implement model informed precision dosing in clinical practice and study its potential
  • We aim to set up and maintain international networks to perform these studies
  • We aim to contribute to treatment guidelines of bacterial infections
  • We aim to bring findings from research to the bedside by means of specialty consulting
  • We aim to improve knowledge on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics by organizing targeted courses
