About our equipment

With our XRad we can irradiate tumors in animals with varying doses. Our Physicists and technicians will determine the settings of the equipment and after that treatment with a dose varying from almost zero to >50Gy is possible. During irradiation anesthesia can be applied with gas inhalation or other types of anesthesia. Hence tumors can be treated while the animals are breathing air, or oxygen enhanced gas mixtures.

With the equipment we can also treat cell cultures, cells etc. Again the range of treatment doses is wide.

The X-RAD 320ix is a self-contained X-ray system for delivering a precise radiation dosage to specimens in a biological or small animal research laboratory. The X-ray tube is used specifically for radiation therapy having a highly homogenous beam. read more

The X-RAD 320ix is a self-contained X-ray system for delivering a precise radiation dosage to specimens in a biological or small animal research laboratory. The X-ray tube is used specifically for radiation therapy having a highly homogenous beam. Our current setups can be used for:

  • Cell irradiation (cell culture flasks, multiwell plates, chamber slides)
  • Tumor irradiation (mice with tumor at right hind leg)
  • Total body irradiation (mice)
