Radboudumc is a partner in the CareBOTS project. This project focuses on the development and application of robotics solutions in healthcare.
The project is made possible in part by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Dutch government, and the Province of North Brabant through the OPZuid 2021–2027 program.

CareBOTS forms the basis for a growing community around medical and healthcare robotics in the Netherlands. The project contributes to the development of a future-proof healthcare sector and stimulates collaboration between SMEs, knowledge institutions, and healthcare providers.
The five projects develop and test innovative solutions:
- Autonomous logistics robots in hospitals Ambyon
- CT-guided medical precision robots Syntric Medical BV
- Humanoid robot torso to support physical care procedures Unseq BV
- Smart echo catheter for minimally invasive surgery SonicPrecision BV
- Control software for surgical robot applications Vectioneer BV
Coordination is in the hands of NLrobotics, which is also working with the Care Innovation Center on a growth and ecosystem program for healthcare robotics in the southern Netherlands.
