Prior to issuing samples intended for an external applicant, the Radboud Biobank first draws up a quotation of the expected costs (i.e. price per sample, deployment of lab technicians, material- and transport costs). The external applicant can draw up a purchase order based on the quotation and share the purchase order number with the Radboud Biobank. Once the purchase order number has been received the requested samples will be issued. This process will lead to some delays in distribution, which should be considered when planning sample analyses with laboratories, but will prevent any surprises regarding costs for the applicant.
