We are looking for a project manager to help on the UNITE4TB project. You will become part of a dynamic, international team.
 
Your main duties are: 

  • Project management: you will be responsible for helping to manage a large EU-funded project. You will assist in supporting, monitoring and guarding a smooth, effective and timely execution of the project plan, its progress and its budget. You work closely with the scientific project leader(s) and the support staff at the division level.
  • Grant compliance: you will ensure compliance with the funding agency requirements, agreed contracts and policies. This will include managing all non-scientific, administrative, and contractual obligations and amendments of thenprojects, towards the funding organization, the consortium partners and Radboudumc. You work in close collaboration with the internal team members, as well as other support staff from the external project management organization.
  • Financial support: you will assist in financial management and reporting, in close cooperation with the financial project manager.
  • Stakeholder engagement: you will maintain contacts with external stakeholders and act as a key point of contact for the project members. You will prepare, organize and follow-up online and face-to-face project meetings.

The Department of Pulmonary Diseases conducts international and innovative TB research into (new) drugs for Tuberculosis (TB) which, with 4,000 deaths per day, is still the most deadly preventable infectious disease in the world. You will work on the UNTE4TB project, which is the largest research project that the Radboudumc has ever coordinated and is financed from European funds (IHI) in cooperation with several multinationals. Its total budget is €185 million. The project has 29 partners receiving funding with more than 35 hospitals in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and South America.

You will work in a dynamic, international, team with members with diverse backgrounds responsible for various aspects of the project. We expect the selected candidate be an involved team player, willing to invest in our professional development and bring positive energy to the work place.

Your writing skills in English is excellent. Good knowledge of (inter)national complex research and innovation grants in an academic setting, e.g. Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe/ZonMw/NWA is considered an asset. You are flexible and have good organizational skills. Furthermore, you are able to prioritize and focus on results. We are looking for a colleague with an excellent ability to multitask and solve problems, who is pro-active, flexible and can judge independently, enjoys working in a team, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A gross monthly salary between € 3.765 and € 5.160 (scale 9) for full-time employment (36 hours per week). You will also receive an 8% holiday allowance, an 8.3% end-of-year bonus, and, depending on the position, an allowance of 47% to 72% for working irregular hours.
  • 176 vacation hours per year based on a 36-hour working week.
