Bert van der Reijden, theme Cancer development and immune defense, received the RIMLS award 2018 for his long-lasting and dedicated commitment to the RIMLS Graduate School.

Rene Bindels, scientific director of RIMLS, thanked Bert van der Reijden, for his continuous support of the RIMLS graduate school and its activities, this already for more then 10 years. The well-being and succes of the PhD's is continuously his main focus. Bert is always willing to help and to participate in the PhD courses, which is highly appreciated.

The European Research Council (ERC) is awarding grants to Roshan Cools and Peter Friedl, both professors at Radboudumc. While Cools will investigate how brains control behaviour in (stressful) situations, Friedl will work on developing a new cancer therapy.
