Oral function and restorative dentistry

Bas Looman's research group focuses on preventive measures, develops novel solutions for automated diagnosis and personalized and minimally invasive treatment options, and strives for full-digitalized patient care workflows in the field of tooth wear.

Regenerative biomaterials

Sander Leeuwenburgh's research group creates novel biomaterial-based therapies for regeneration of hard tissues. Overall, this group aims to decipher which physicochemical properties of biomaterials are able to trigger the natural self-healing capacity of hard tissues.

Translational cell-material interactions

Jeroen van den Beucken's research group explores biological specifics related to tissue formation and regeneration with a focus on cell-cell and cell-material interactions.
