Jack Schalken's research group focuses on preclinical models for cancer, precision medicine by molecular diagnostics, with a focus on prognostic- and predcitive biomarkers and on GU oncology and salivary gland cancer.

We focus on on experimental urology, epidemiology and biostatistics.

The molecular and cellular basis of prostate carcinogenesis is a long term research line within experimental urology. The focus within epidemiology and biostatistics is on the genetic epidemiology of urological conditions and on the quantitative evaluation of (new) diagnostic and prognostic tests in urology.
