About us

The research at the Urology department focuses around three areas: experimental urology, epidemiology and biostatistics, and clinical trials.

The molecular and cellular basis of prostate carcinogenesis is a long term research line within experimental urology.

The focus within epidemiology and biostatisticsis on the genetic epidemiology of urological conditions and on the quantitative evaluation of (new) diagnostic and prognostic tests in urology.

The clinical trial office of our department is responsible for inclusion and treatment of patients according to study protocols.
