Research Departments Medical BioSciences News Farewell to Physiology

20 December 2022

At the end of 2022 my emeritate is quickly approaching. After 41 years at the Physiology department the time has come to say farewell. This is certainly not simple given the wonderful time I experienced at the department with ample memorable events. I greatly enjoyed the company of my fantastic colleagues. Your enthusiasm, dedication and (scientific) insight have been inspiring for me.

The turn of the year marks also a new time frame. Our department will merge into the new science department Medical Biosciences with new leadership and new opportunities. You may have to get used to it at first, but it is a normal development in our working lives. Consequently, this is the last newsletter in its present form. I thank our faithfull readers wholeheartedly for following us so closely and I hope you enjoyed our monthly news items.

I wish you all the best. Please follow your (scientific) dreams and everything will be fine.

It is never easy to say farewell, perhaps this song can do a better job.

Warm regards,

René
