Aims

We aim to:

  • Determine the value of technology in people with (pre)diabetes;
  • Elucidate the role of innate immunity in the pathophysiology of long-term micro- and macrovascular complications and explore the benefit of anti-inflammatory interventions;
  • Disentangle the relationship of obesity with the immune system, predisposing to the development of (pre)diabetes, and study the effect of (non)-pharmacologically-induced weight loss.
