  • To investigate drug-drug interactions of antimicrobial agents
  • To quantify the relation between drug exposure and emergence of resistance
  • To prevent further emergence of resistance of bacterial pathogens to antimicrobial agents
  • To implement model informed precision dosing in clinical practice and study its potential
  • To set up and maintain international networks to perform these studies
  • To contribute to treatment guidelines of bacterial infections
  • To bring findings from research to the bedside by means of specialty consulting
  • To improve knowledge on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics by organizing targeted courses

About

This group investigates the pharmacokinetics and dynamics of antimicrobial agents. Research ranges from in vitro experiments to clinical trials in special patient populations, such as critically ill, hematology and obese patients. The main aim is to define the optimal dose for each patient.
