The Nijmegen Exercise Study 2.0 wants to determine the effect of an active lifestyle on prevention and progression of diseases. Ultimately, the information obtained can be used to improve the prevention of chronic diseases through an active lifestyle. NES2.0 stores biomaterial (plasma and serum) from healthy participants, patients with cardiovascular disease and participants with risk factors for cardiovascular disease (such as a high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes) with associated clinical data.
