Addiction psychiatry

Arnt Schellekens's research group aims to reduce the tremendous burden of addictive disorders through translational research, linking basic science with clinical practice. The group focuses on disentangling clinical heterogeneity, in order to develop personalized addiction treatment strategies.

Clinical neuroscience in psychiatry

Indira Tendolkar's research group works on understanding how individuals adapt to stress in both health and psychiatric conditions.

Gut microbiota and nutritional psychiatry

Alejandro Arias Vásquez's research group investigates whether differences in the human gut microbiota—together with the host’s genetic makeup—affect mental health, and how this relationship may be influenced by specific dietary patterns.
