Facilities

Our department has two laboratory facilities:

A Movement Lab where state-of-art movement and gait analysis can be performed with an eight-camera 3-D Vicon system, two AMTI force plates embedded in a walkway, and multi-channel wireless surface electromyography (sEMG).

The Radboud Falls Simulator with similar equipment where postural balance can be assessed at the very limits of an individual’s stability by means of a large moveable platform and a motorized safety harness suspended to the ceiling.
