25 February 2020

Peggy Manders has been appointed to the COREON management committee (Committee on Regulation of Health Research). COREON endeavors to foster careful and responsible research with health data and human materials (i.e. biospecimens and/or images), while striking a fair balance between public interests, participant protection and involvement, and scientific interests.

COREON is currently revising the Dutch Code of Conduct for data protection in health research. This work is financially supported by ZonMw. In mid-2020, the Code of Conduct draft will be submitted for a public round. The Code of Conduct is expected to be completed and published in the first quarter of 2021. Up-to-date information about the new Code of Conduct is available via the website (available in Dutch only).
