Radboud Biobank employees actively follow developments and trends by other biobanks both nationally and internationally. Attendance at the annual Europe Biobank week, this year in Antwerp, is a valuable component thereof.  This year there was great interest in sustainable business models for biobanks, in partnerships with companies and patient representatives, in the use of social media, in quality management and in the sharing of biomaterial and data with researchers and biobanks elsewhere.
The Radboud Biobank was also able to present itself to the international biobank community via chairmanship of a session and 3 well visited posters. The next Europe Biobank Week is in Lübeck, Germany from 8-11 October 2019.
