Three areas; one full of man-sized freezers, one with a robot for automated DNA storage and one with nitrogen barrels. At first sight, the Radboud Biobank in the basement of the Radboudumc is not much. Still, the physical material stored here is potentially invaluable, because the thousands of plastic tubes containing blood, feces and pieces of tissue are available to researchers worldwide.
