It is our pleasure to announce that Jeroen van de Beucken and Rick Wansink have been appointed as associate professor.
Jeroen van den Beucken, theme Reconstructive and regenerative medicine is focused on the biological interactions between cells and biomaterials and implementing this knowledge toward material-based and cell-based bone regenerative therapies. Within his research, special interest is devoted to osteoimmunological aspects, in which he studies the interplay between the skeletal system and immunological system that drives bone formation and regeneration.
Rick Wansink, theme Nanomedicine, studies the molecular pathogenesis of myotonic dystrophy in order to identify targets for therapeutic strategies. He combines his research activities with an interest in the education on molecular mechanisms of neuromuscular diseases.
