The program ‘Act in case of Depression’ reduces depressions in nursing homes with at least a quarter. read more

Thanks to the virtual asthma clinic for children (‘Luchtbrug’) children with asthma need to visit the hospital less often. read more

With the 3D imaging and 3D printing technology of the 3D lab the patient is treated in a shorter surgical session with better results. read more
Multiparametric MRI
Men suspected to have prostate cancer are now diagnosed via multiparametric MRI instead of traditional systematic transrectal ultrasound guided biopsies. read more
Gout diagnosis calculator
With the (mobile phone) gout diagnosis calculator the General Practioner can diagnose gout and no referral to a hospital for an invasive joint-puncture is needed. read more
Dutch do-not-do list and ‘Beter-laten-lijst’
A total of 1366 low-value hospital services (Dutch do-not-do list) have been integrated into the consultants’ national guideline database. In addition, a list of nursing activities which have little to no value to the patient has been compiled (‘Beter-laten-lijst’). read more
Cancer drug saving by intake with food
With the shift from intravenously to orally administered drugs in modern oncology, drug absorption often limits the full potential of these drugs. Our research showed that intake with food can reduce gastro-intestinal toxicity, improve patients comfort and lower the dosing which saves costs. read more
