A systematic review comparing FP-CT cerebral perfusion imaging with CTP and MRP in diagnostic accuracy showed very little evidence, mostly pilot- and feasibility studies in subjects with cerebrovascular disease.
All studies were set outside the Hybrid-OR in the angiographic room and half of the studies were conducted in animals. A few small studies with moderate quality assessments compared FP-CTP with CTP and showed high diagnostic accuracy in patients with cerebrovascular disease and good correlations between both techniques.
