About the meetings
The Nijmegen GI/Hep meetings are part of a cycle of seminars with the aim to expose students, residents, junior researchers and consultants to the most recent developments in (clinical) Gastroenterology.
Guest speakers
Guest speakers are renowned European clinicians/researchers who are considered to be expert in their field.
Interaction
The meetings are held at a monthly interval at the Endoscopy center of the Radboudumc. These sessions have the format of a didactic lecture. The talks are mostly preceded by a meeting that allows interaction of our staff of junior researchers with the expert.
Topics
Topics include the pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of a wide range of hepatological or gastroenterological related diseases. They are attended by the Faculty of the Department, Fellows, Medicine Residents, and students rotating on the GI service. In addition, they may also be attended by Surgeons, as well as GI/Endoscopic nursing staff.
Educational curriculum
The Nijmegen GI/Hep meetings at the Radboudumc represent an integral part of the educational curriculum.
